What an amazing weekend!

Started off with a Coed Semi-Final Soccer game at 11AM

We were down 2-0 at the half… and so the drama begins…

Genevieve a long time friend since Jr High hit a shot that the goalie tipped and it was right on the goal line…
The goalie dove for it and the entire soccer goal and net came down on the goalie as the ball trickled across
the line… GOAL! (the ref signaled goal and we were now down 2-1) the goalie was tangled up in the net that had fallen but unhurt- Pretty crazy though in over 10 years of playing soccer, I had never seen anything like that! ha ha
With time ticking down my good friend Ignacio put two goals in with only about 5 minutes left to take the lead!
Then another good friend on our team Evaristo scored at the last second to end the Semi Finals 4-2. we won!

The FINALS were scheduled right after the semis so we geared up for game #2. At stake was the CHAMPIONSHIP for our VAVI Coed-Soccer Team Named: TEAM HUNG OVER. If we won we would Win a free spot to play in the league next year that normally costs $500.00 and a sparkling bobble-head trophy engraved with VAVI COED SOCCER LEAGUE CHAMPS 2006!

We tied 0-0 at half and the drama heightened with some close shots on goal from either side. Our good friend Sara took it down the side and crossed it right to me… here was my chance! After missing about 25 shots the week before along with hitting the crossbar I was due. I side volleyed the ball from the top of the box right into the upper right corner past the outstretched goalie into the back of the net…GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

The game ended shortly after and we were the 2006 Champs! woo hoo for team HUNG OVER!
We celebrated after at our good friend John’s house who had just bought a brand new 60 inch flat screen (great football watching tv) he has a really cool house in Encinitas with a hot tub a poker game table and a light wood pool table. Great party house.

Then we watched the Chargers come back from being down 21-0 against the Bengals to WIN 49-41! woo hoo!
What a fun game to watch! It seemed like San Diego would be happy for weeks after that win.

Thanks for checking in, (drop me an e-mail! I love e-mails!)
Talk soon,
Willie “the goal getter” Chambers

Fun times…

My friends from the band Sugarcult came out with a new cd last week called Lights Out so I met them at Lou’s Records and they gave me 4 tickets! woo hoo! We went down to The San Diego House of Blues that night Sept 12th and saw a fun show (I got to bring three hot dates! Kristen Kelly & Kylie) funny.

We went to a hardcore SOMA show to support our friends from a band called INVICTUS- they opened for A THORN FOR EVERY HEART and STATIC LULLABY (for those of you who don’t follow the hardcore scene, it is realllly hardcore) screamo will get your blood flowing and will make you want to drive really fast- I liked it. :-)w The show reminded me of Bjork and Slayer put together, very cool stuff if you can handle that kind of music.

I went and hung out with Hal Fishman and my famous brother Jaime Chambers at KTLA and watched him do his Channel 5 Surf Report- he was very professional- ha ha. It still trips me out to watch him on tv – When he interviewed Arnold S. I could barely keep it together – it was so funny to me! ha ha

Jaime and I recorded acoustic music last night in our friend Adam’s studio. He calls himself “Atom” as in “the bomb”.
We have some new cool raw acoustic recordings that came out pretty cool so ask me about them and I’ll try and get you a copy. One of the new songs I recorded was the first song Kristen and I wrote together called “Just Stay”. My good friend Aaron Robinson added his magical finger picking to the recording and I thought it came out really well. I like having at least one really raw track on every cd that my band Windsor puts out so this one should make the cut on our new cd coming out in 2007 called Forever Endeavors. It looks like the album will probably have these new recordings on it:

Band: Windsor
2nd Album: Forever Endeavors

1) Just Maybe
2) Hate You
3) The Enemy
4) You Should Know
5) Windows
6) The Tiger’s Back
7) Just Stay
8) Time After Time (cover)
9) Places
10) Sentimental
11) Never Never
12) Every Night

75% sure…

I went to The Turf Club last Thursday and I hit a trifecta!
woo hoo

(for those of you who don’t know what a trifecta is it’s when you
pick the horses that come in first second and third on one bet)

Pretty tough odds to do so it usually pays good money when you win!

I was a lucky ducky that day- we got all dressed up in our suits and
Jaime Julie Kristen and I shared a bottle of Don Perignon champagne-
It was delightful.

Went to the Jimmy Eat World concert at The Del Mar Race Track on Saturday!
It was excellent- we had Del Margaritas on the infield of the track with about
10,000 people or more! The show was great and after I snuck back stage &
got to talk with the band- I happened to have a Windsor cd with me so hope-
fully they’ll like the new songs I gave them to listen to on their drive to the next
show… (they might be my favorite band)

Went surfing on Sunday morning with my bro and friends in Cardiff-the ocean
is amazing- I highly recommend that everyone should get in it.

Happy 27th Birthday to my good friend Micah!

Hope to hear from you all soon,
Willie

Hello you guys…

So I had a vision the other night that I could end hunger around the world-
Crazy, huh?

Here’s my idea: (I’m sure it needs a little, no, a lot of work so e-mail me back if you think of anything that might help this idea along at: willie1377@yahoo.com )

THE IDEA.

Hungry kids around the world would line up at webcams at convenient locations.
Anyone around the world could log onto the internet and see a live video from a webcam of a hungry kid waiting- They might even type in their (name age and sex)
for a chance to get a meal live at the webcams. By clicking a button similar to apple’s itunes you could buy a kid lunch for $0.99! When you click on the button that says “BUY MEAL”, a food stamp would spit out of the vending machine below the web camera for the hungry kid to accept, say thanks, and take to the store.

That’s the simple version of my idea. There are obviously 100’s of more questions and factors to weigh in but at the same time I think it might not be far off…

Other thoughts:
You need monitors to make sure the kid that is hungry is actually getting the food.
(Maybe a web cam with a larger view could allow the “Meal Buyer” to watch the child get the stamp, walk to the store, and even eat lunch, if the buyer wanted to see his $0.99 actually work.

I was thinking about it and I think a hungry kid is probably the first terrible problem that is actaully solvable! We have 7 billion people in the world and plenty of food to go around. The least we can do is make sure the kids aren’t hungry.
Thoughts?

Thanks for reading this and stopping by,
:-)Willie
